توصيلها إلى هذا الموقع فى / امسبورى/ فى بريطانيا والتى وضعتها منظمة اليونيسكو فى قائمة التراث العالمى فى 1982 والذى يزورها سنويا قرابة مليون زائر .وهذه الأحجار العملاقة ترجع لعصر ما قبل التاريخ وهى تقع فى سهل ساليسبرى بمقاطعه ويلنشر جنوب غربي إنجلترا ويرجع تاريخها لأواخر العصر الحجرى وأوائل العصر البرونزى وهذا الأثر رغم شهرته أصبح حاليا إطلال بسبب التل الترابى الدائرى الذى يحيط به.
وكان الجيولوجى البريطانى / هربير – هنرى توماس / قد أكد فى 1932 أن هذه الأحجار الزرقاء الضخمة التى توجد وسط الموقع كان تأتى من تلال / بروسولى / الواقعة على بعد 250 كيلومترًا وقد أعيد البحث مرة أخرى لمعرفة سبب أنتقال هذه الأحجار.
